Art Teacher (Full time)
Cardinal Newman School is accepting applications for the position of full time Art Teacher for the 2020-2021 academic year. The Art Teacher is a subject area expert who, in collaboration with administration, is responsible for building and maintaining a comprehensive art program and works closely with other art teachers within the department. The teacher will organize an ordererd, student centered classroom culture focused on learning. The teacher will develop students’ artistic abilities through a rigorous curriculum that will include drawing, painting, and ceramics, and will lead towards success on the AP. Qualified candidates will possess a BFA; an MFA is preferred. Candidates for this position are asked to engage students beyond the classroom, and will have the ability to run a major school activity. Guidance Counselor/Learning Specialist (Full time)
Cardinal Newman seeks a guidance counselor and learning specialist for the 2020-2021 academic year. Qualified candidates will possess experience in guidance or in related areas, and will also have a background in helping students with learning differences find success. Candidates with an understanding of the RTI process are preferred. Cardinal Newman seeks a counselor whose experience demonstrates an ability to develop and improve student performance. Successful candidates will also have an ability to run a major school activity. Science Teacher (Full Time)
Cardinal Newman School of Columbia, South Carolina is accepting applications for a full time Science teacher of Biology and Chemistry for the 2020-2021 academic year. This position is for a subject area expert who, in collaboration with the administration, is responsible for building and maintaining a comprehensive science program, and progressing towards the AP courses. Qualified candidates must possess a strong educational background in biology and chemistry, and must have a passion for inspiring scientific inquiry in the classroom. The ideal candidate will hold a master’s degree and have an ability to coach or moderate a major school activity.
